Partition walls
Plasterboard partition walls, with Wolle thermal insulation fibre between the studs and, in bathrooms and kitchens, Multistrat as a vapour barrier.

Partition walls are most commonly built on metal profiles: U profiles on the floor and ceiling and C studs at 60 cm centres. Timber-frame partitions are used mainly in timber houses.
Three zones, each with its own role
The partition wall is built with Wolle: plasterboard on both faces and Wolle between the studs. Where a vapour barrier is required, at least in bathrooms and kitchens, where a great deal of moisture is generated, also install Reflectiva Multistrat on the face towards the humid room, beneath the plasterboard. For better sound insulation, install two acoustic plasterboard sheets on each face.
Reduces airborne noise
Wolle is a sound-absorbing fibre. For better sound insulation, install two acoustic plasterboard sheets on each face.
No settling
Wolle does not settle: the thickness and performance remain constant.
Without binders
Wolle thermal insulation fibre is made from recycled PET, without binders, formaldehyde or phenol.
Multistrat, vapour barrier
Where a great deal of moisture is generated, Reflectiva Multistrat stops vapour before it enters the wall. It is installed on the face towards the bathroom or kitchen, beneath the plasterboard.
The fibre is not irritating
Conventional protective equipment is not required. The boards are cut with the Wolle Sword knife.

Frequently asked questions
What should I choose for better sound insulation?
Two acoustic plasterboard sheets on each face. Wolle is a sound-absorbing fibre and reduces airborne noise.
Do I need protective equipment during installation?
Not the conventional protective equipment: the fibre is not irritating. The boards are cut with the Wolle Sword knife.
Do I need a vapour barrier?
Where a great deal of moisture is generated, at least in bathrooms and kitchens, yes: install Reflectiva Multistrat on the face towards the humid room, beneath the plasterboard.
Does Wolle settle within the wall?
No. The thickness and performance remain constant.
